Public policy has faced somewhat of an identity crisis in the past five years.
The financial crisis has had a profound effect on making both officials and academics rethink what public policy can and should be. However, there is some question as to how much these changes are actually manifested in light of global issues, and whether they indeed represent something new or are just re-conceptualisations of pre-existing ideas.
