Do you have any cash? No, I don’t.

This little two sentence conversation seems to take place in my house at least once every two weeks. The reason for this is simple; we live in a digital currency age, whether it be USD or EUR or any other currency found the world over. The moment Richard Nixon in 1971 officially cut all ties with the gold standard backing the USD, the world over entered the age of fiat currencies. From there, it would only be one small leap to enter the world of credit cards and plastic “currency” and now we have essentially found our way to a largely digital currency world with little hard currency being used or exchanged in many parts of the world.
